About
Operations experience, turned into a company.
BIGUS Innovations is a consulting and product shop in Moore County, North Carolina. It takes its name from the founder's Air Force callsign.
The company started in late 2021, the week its founder retired from the U.S. Air Force. The first client was a small business with a new venture to launch and a stack of software products that didn’t talk to each other. BIGUS integrated the tools, built the dashboards that gave the owner visibility into their data, and managed design and delivery of a clean-sheet reservation app, while building the embedded hardware that tied the app to the company’s facility.
At the same time, BIGUS stayed close to the defense training world, developing and executing exercise scenarios. That work expanded into more traditional consulting projects for the Department of War: reviews of software development and modeling-and-simulation capabilities, and developing a vision for integrating live, virtual and constructive training.
In 2025 the founder completed the Duke Global Executive MBA as a Fuqua Scholar, and BIGUS began building what became Digplanner, a GIS-enabled work management platform now in production supporting field survey crews. Today the company splits its time between consulting, production software, embedded electronics and physical products.
